Ann's desire is to help others. This is why she became a counselor and why she volunteers in her community. Ann believes that all we have are relationships and those relationships need to be nurtured. Sometimes though we don't get a good example of how to nurture relationships and this is where counseling can help! 

Ann is a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Texas, she is the North Dallas Chapter President for the Christian Counselors of Texas, she has completed the Level 3 Practicum Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is a Gottman Educator for the Seven Principles Program. Ann is also an Academic Associate of Logotherapy, a PSYCH-K Facilitator, a Certified Body Code Practitioner and Certified Emotion Code Practitioner.

Ann earned her master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University and her undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University.

Her background includes:

  • private practice,
  • being a residential counselor for drug and alcohol treatment centers,
  • providing couples, individual, and group counseling,
  • teaching parenting classes,
  • providing anger management programs,
  • and presenting on various topics such as Gottman principles and how beliefs form our reality.

Ann works with a wide variety of issues: anger management, anxiety, blended families, boundaries, depression, divorce recovery, emotional release work, life transitions, marital, pre-marital, parenting, phobias, post-abortive recovery, post-traumatic stress, transforming subconscious beliefs, and emotional, physical, and sexual abuse.

Utilizing a logo-therapeutic theory, or meaning-centered theory, Ann asserts that adults who are not impaired have within themselves all the resources necessary to heal emotionally.

Her approach is holistic and centers not only on the emotions, but the physical, social, and spiritual aspects of the individual. Ann views counseling as a collaboration and knows that the individual is the expert on his or her life.

Ann has raised two emotionally intelligent, spiritual children of whom she is very proud. She enjoys playing with her six grand children, drawing house plans, building and remodeling homes, traveling, volunteering for organizations in her community, playing golf, and ballroom and country dance.
